Account and Data Handling & Deletion Policy

(Account and Data Deletion Policy)

 

This page explains how user information is handled in the Drill Studio app,

as well as the methods for deleting accounts and data.

 

1. App Usage and Subscription

 

Drill Studio can be used for free on a trial basis.

However, a subscription is required to use features such as data saving and printing.

 

Subscriptions can be purchased from within the app through the respective app stores.

Billing and payment management are handled by the app stores or the payment services used.

 

2. Account

 

Drill Studio can be used without creating an account.

However, creating a Drill Studio account is required to use the following features:

Data sharing using the DSM server

Integration with the mobile viewer app

 

3. Data Collected and Used

 

3.1 Account Information

 

Drill Studio accounts are managed using Firebase Authentication

and are linked with our own server-side database.

 

When creating an account, the following information may be requested.

Required Information

• Email address
• Address
• Name
• Phone number

 

Optional Information

 

• Band / organization name
• Occupation

 

This information is mainly used for the following purposes:

App support and customer assistance

Sending information related to Drill Studio, including announcements, promotions, and event information

※ Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication and are not collected or stored by this app or the developer’s own servers.

 

3.2 User-Created Data (Drill Data)

Drill data created by users can be uploaded to the DSM server for management and sharing.

Data can be deleted by the user through in-app operations.

Even if no action is taken, uploaded data is automatically deleted after one year.

 

Deletion Method

From the app menu:

[File] ＞ [DSM Server Upload]

Users can manage and delete their data from this screen.

 

3.3 Audio Data (AI Beat Generation Feature)

Drill Studio includes an AI feature that automatically generates beat data from audio files.

Audio files are temporarily uploaded to a server for analysis processing.

Uploaded audio data is automatically deleted after the processing is completed.

Audio data is not stored, reused, used for advertising, analytics, or machine learning purposes.

 

4. How to Delete an Account

 

Users can delete their account from within the app.

Deletion Procedure

Launch the app.

Open [Help] ＞ [Account Management] from the menu bar.

Select the [Delete Account] button.

Follow the instructions on the account management site to complete the deletion.

※ Deleted accounts and data cannot be restored.

 

5. Subscription Cancellation (Important)

 

Deleting a Drill Studio account does not cancel an active subscription.

If you wish to cancel your subscription, you must complete the cancellation separately using one of the methods below.

Cancellation Method

Launch the app.

Open [Help] ＞ [Account Management] from the menu bar.

Select the [Subscription Management] button.

Complete the cancellation through the app store you are using.

 

6. Data Retention Period

 

Account information and related data are retained only while the account is active.

After account deletion, related data is deleted within a reasonable period of time.

Audio data is not retained after analysis is completed.

 

7. Changes to This Policy

 

This policy may be updated in response to changes in laws or service content.
